Meet the teachers and committee who keep Glasgow Lindyhoppers running.
We're a friendly, volunteer-run swing dance community, established in Glasgow in 2011. If you'd like to join our committee, help with events planning or social media, or teach with us, send us a message. We'd love to hear from you.

Between them, our teachers cover Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Charleston and solo jazz — and all of them teach beginners as happily as they teach improvers.
Allie Butler & Jass McNeill
Allie and Jass began their swing dance lives in Glasgow and fell instantly for Lindy Hop and its energy and flair. They teach Lindy Hop, solo jazz and Collegiate Shag across Scotland and beyond, specialising in blending styles at higher tempos and helping dancers find control, musicality and joy. Known for an open, energetic teaching style, they also offer workshops, private lessons and events.
Joyce Monaghan
Joyce knew Lindy was for her when she saw it danced in San Francisco in 2008, soon adding blues, solo jazz and Balboa. Her current focus is Balboa and blues, teaching at Glasgow Balboa and Thursday Night Blues.
Alice Lister
A founding member of Glasgow Lindyhoppers, Alice has been teaching for over 10 years. She values fun for all levels alongside the chance to progress, and encourages dancers to connect with the music.
Claire Craig
Dancing since 2007 and teaching with GLH for over 10 years, Claire specialises in styling with attitude, bringing fun, flair and personality to every dance. Ambidancetrous — dancing and teaching both lead and follow.

We're currently looking for a Secretary and a permanent Treasurer. Both are manageable alongside a full-time job, and you'd be joining a friendly committee.
